Anniversary Soul Searching

6 years ago today I started this blog as a way and place to keep track of all my crafting projects. There has been ups and downs on the blogging front, and I've enjoyed it when I had time. But the last year or so I've had very little time to direct to this, and Instagram and Facebook have been much easier to update.

6 years seems like a long time, and I guess its a good enough time to have a soul searching think about whether I'm going to continue with it. I do enjoy putting together posts, but I often feel like I don't have the time to produce what I'd like to. That's going to continue to be the case until I finish my PhD (hopefully) later this year.

Thoughts from my readers?

  1. I very much enjoy reading your posts, but I know something of what a PhD involves and I can quite understand that you might want to concentrate writing time on that!

Perhaps you could think about what you get from blogging and whether other means achieve the same aim?

Whatever you decide, all the very best with your doctorate.

    1. Thank you! Definitely consider that option, although I do love the blogging. Not making any decisions yet, but I really do appreciate the input.

  2. Although you don't post as much as I'd like to read, I find that when you do blog, it's all the more eventful. I'm not much of an IG follower and blogs are much easier to keep up with on my feed if I miss a few days of checking.

    1. Thanks for that! It is nice to know there are more out there who appreciate blogging still.

  3. If you stopped posting we'd miss out on what you do get time to create and share. Also if you think you can get time later in the year to produce more, it's still enjoyable at the moment and not taking away from your phD I don't see any reason to stop.

    1. Thanks for the comment. I'm not planning on shutting it down or anything just yet, just looking at options. And I certainly am hoping that in the future I will have more time for it.
